The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted children's daily routines, potentially impacting physical activity (PA) and sleep. This study objectively measured PA and sleep patterns in 94 obese children (5–17 years) before, during, and after school closures. During closures, daily step count decreased by 1655 steps, sleep onset and wake times were delayed by ~1 h 45 min, and sleep duration decreased by >12 min. Step counts increased when in-person activities resumed. These findings highlight the importance of in-person activities for maintaining healthy behaviors in children with obesity.
