This paper demonstrates a high-fidelity (97.5% ± 0.8%) and efficient (0.65%) source of entangled photon pairs from an InAsP quantum dot embedded in an InP nanowire. The generated Bell state is shown to be suitable for secure quantum key distribution (QKD), overcoming challenges associated with fine-structure splitting (FSS) through a time-resolved QKD protocol. Two-photon resonant excitation is used to improve pair extraction efficiency and reduce multi-photon emission.
