Abstract
Diabetes affects one in six pregnancies, posing significant health risks to both mother and child. This systematic review and meta-analysis examined the effectiveness of diet and/or exercise interventions on glycemic control in pregnant women with diabetes. Twenty-six studies (all involving gestational diabetes mellitus, GDM) were included. Supplement and exercise interventions reduced fasting glucose, and supplement and diet interventions reduced HOMA-IR. Subgroup analysis revealed that intervention timing and geographic location may influence effectiveness.
