Abstract

This study investigates the influence of non-conformism and self-efficacy on the affective well-being and burnout among 401 Dutch schoolteachers. It hypothesizes relationships between non-conformism and self-efficacy, and subsequently, their impact on affective well-being and burnout. Results show a positive correlation between self-efficacy and affective well-being, and a strong negative correlation between self-efficacy and burnout. Non-conformism significantly predicts self-efficacy. The study suggests that promoting non-conformist behavior could improve teacher self-efficacy and well-being.
