Perovskite solar cells show great promise but their instability hinders commercialization. This research reports an industrial encapsulation process using a highly viscoelastic semi-solid/highly viscous liquid adhesive that reduces thermomechanical stress. Adding hexagonal boron nitride improves barrier and thermal properties. Encapsulated devices, without edge sealant, passed multifaceted accelerated aging tests, retaining >80% initial efficiency. The encapsulation method is applicable to various cell configurations and extends to semi-transparent cells.
