Abstract
This paper presents a novel Fe-doped SnS₂ (Sn₁₋ₓFexS₂) piezoelectric self-Fenton system for efficient water pollution treatment. The system demonstrates superior performance in degrading rhodamine B (RhB), with toxicity analysis confirming a reduction in toxicity of the degradation intermediates. Characterizations, including Kelvin probe force microscopy and photoelectrochemical analysis, verified the enhanced piezoelectric properties of Sn₀.₉₇Fe₀.₀₃S₂, attributed to Fe lattice defects and the formation of a self-Fenton system. The study highlights the potential of this combined piezoelectric and self-Fenton technology for effective organic pollutant removal.
