This study investigated risk-taking profiles in 130 Italian residents during the Covid-19 lockdown, comparing healthcare and non-healthcare workers. A new "Covid-19 Risk Task" was developed, including monetary and ecological conditions assessing risk-taking related to health and employment outcomes. Results showed increased risk aversion in monetary conditions compared to health and employment conditions. Payoff increases led to risk aversion in monetary conditions but risk-loving behavior in health and employment conditions. Healthcare workers were less risk-averse than non-healthcare workers in employment-related scenarios. The findings highlight the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on risk-taking behavior and its economic implications.
