Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between good governance and the control of the COVID-19 pandemic using monthly data from April to September 2020 for 185 countries. The study hypothesizes that countries with better governance are better equipped to implement effective policies and build public trust, leading to better pandemic control. Econometric analysis reveals a significant inverse relationship between various measures of good governance and COVID-19 positive and growth rates, even after controlling for various factors. The findings highlight the importance of governance quality in pandemic management.
