Abstract
The study analyzes UAV (drone) photographs and metadata uploaded to the SkyPixel platform by users in China and Europe to compare photographic content, photographer sentiment, and spatial distribution. Using Microsoft Azure computer vision and sentiment analysis, social network analysis, and spatial kernel density estimation, the authors find UAV photography centers on natural landscapes, transportation facilities, and people’s daily behaviors. Chinese photographers express mainly neutral emotions, while European photographers show predominantly positive emotions. Spatial hot spots cluster in mature tourist destinations, especially near waterbodies. The work advances understanding of UAV users as an emerging group in tourism contexts.
