This study investigated the implementation of a Ugandan community empowerment program to combat household air pollution (HAP) and tobacco smoke in Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam. A train-the-trainer model, integrated into local health infrastructures, reached approximately 15,000 Kyrgyz and 10,000 Vietnamese citizens within budget. High feasibility and acceptability were observed, with significant increases in lung health awareness and moderate to high success in behavior change. Contextualization proved feasible, acceptable, and effective, enhancing program sustainability and providing guidance for global lung health interventions.
