Abstract
This study investigates the impact of energy poverty (EPOV) on cognitive and mental health (CMH) among middle-aged and older adults in China using data from the 2014–2018 China Family Panel Studies (CFPS). The findings reveal a significantly negative impact of EPOV on CMH, with this effect being more pronounced among older adults. Physical health serves as a key mediating factor in this relationship.
