Abstract
This paper presents image-guided, high-throughput mass spectrometry protocols for chemically profiling dense-core vesicles (DCVs) and lucent vesicles (LVs). The method reveals chemical heterogeneity within and between vesicle populations, identifying distinct DCV subtypes based on peptide content and differences in lipid composition between DCVs and LVs. The approach is adaptable to various subcellular structures.
