Identification of key regulators in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma using network theoretical approach

Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains devastating due to late detection, chemotherapy resistance and lack of targeted therapies. This study compared PDAC and healthy gene expression to identify DEGs, constructed a protein interaction network that self-organizes into a scale-free fractal state with weak hierarchy, identified four communities and 33 key regulators enriched in neuroactive ligand-receptor, cell adhesion and leukocyte migration pathways, and mapped transcriptional and drug links.
