Abstract
This study demonstrates the use of CsPbCl3 perovskite nanocrystals to control the phase-selective synthesis of lead sulfochlorides, Pb3S2Cl2 and Pb4S3Cl2. Homogeneous nucleation in solution produces Pb3S2Cl2 nanocrystals, while the presence of CsPbCl3 leads to Pb4S3Cl2/CsPbCl3 epitaxial heterostructures. The perovskite template is then etched, yielding phase-pure Pb4S3Cl2 nanocrystals. The optoelectronic properties of both lead sulfochlorides are investigated, showing remarkable similarities despite differences in stoichiometry and structure.
