Abstract

This longitudinal field study, involving 450 participants from a Chinese firm, examines the impact of employee narcissism on constructive and destructive voice. Results indicate a positive relationship between employee narcissism and destructive voice, mediated by perceived overqualification. Organizational identification weakens the link between narcissism and destructive voice. The study offers insights into managing narcissistic and overqualified employees and developing effective HRM strategies.
