Soil salinization, exacerbated by climate change, is a significant environmental and socioeconomic issue. This paper develops data-driven models to predict primary soil salinity in drylands until 2100. Predictions identify South America, southern/western Australia, Mexico, the southwestern US, and South Africa as salinization hotspots, while decreased salinity is projected for the northwestern US, the Horn of Africa, Eastern Europe, Turkmenistan, and western Kazakhstan.
