Abstract
This article aims to describe and understand the practical gender equality work promoting gender equality in Nordic preschools. Gender equality is broadly defined as developing higher "gender awareness" within preschool organizations, analyzed through a poststructuralist lens. Data includes 59 interviews, policy document analyses, and preschool visits across Nordic countries. Practices and processes are analyzed to understand practical gender equality work. Results illustrate how to understand this work, offering a tool for reviewing existing efforts and developing gender equality further.
