This research explores Friedrich Engels's theoretical thinking and its application by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) in its reform process. The study analyzes Engels's views on the formation of theoretical thinking from practical experience, the relationship between theoretical and scientific thinking, and the role of dialectical materialism. It demonstrates how the CPV has creatively applied these principles since the "Doi moi" reforms of 1986, contributing significantly to Vietnam's socio-economic development. The research concludes that Engels's thinking provides a valuable framework for combating erroneous and dogmatic views, and continues to inform Vietnamese socialist theory.
