Abstract
This study reviews the literature on firm value determinants in the air transport industry, a crucial sector for global business. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) of 173 papers (1984-2021), the authors analyze research trends, identify gaps, and suggest future research avenues. Industry-level factors (alliances, market structure) are common value drivers, but the focus has shifted towards sustainability initiatives, particularly since the Covid-19 pandemic.
