Abstract
This study explores Algerian junior students' perceptions of French language and culture to understand their attitudes, identify stereotypes, and promote better cultural understanding. Surveys of 130 students at the University of Oum El Bouaghi, after a year of French Civilization training, revealed less positive associations with France than with the French language itself, showing a positive shift in stereotypical images of French culture. The study highlights the need for culturally and linguistically integrated language learning to foster effective intercultural interaction.
