Abstract
This study investigates the internal enablers that support the export activities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Qatar. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews of 20 SME managers, the research identifies five key internal enablers: employees with networking skills, effective supply chain management, product diversification, digitalization, and market intelligence capabilities. The findings offer empirical insights into what drives export performance for non-hydrocarbon manufacturing SMEs in this emerging market.
