Abstract
This research investigates factors influencing consumer adoption of QR code mobile payment systems. An integrated framework combining the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), transaction speed, convenience, and innovativeness was developed. A survey of 216 Saudi Arabian smartphone users revealed that perceived usefulness, ease of use, convenience, subjective norms, and innovativeness significantly predicted attitude towards QR code adoption. Transaction speed moderated the relationship between attitude and intention to adopt. Policymakers should focus on perceived convenience, transaction speed, subjective norms, and perceived usefulness to encourage adoption.
