Abstract

This study evaluated the antimicrobial efficacy and mechanical properties of two experimental self-disinfecting alginate preparations using povidone-iodine and silver nanoparticles. Results showed that both agents provided broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity without significantly affecting elastic recovery or surface detail reproduction.
