Abstract
This study evaluates the impact of eight didactic units (DUs) on historical thinking and active learning methods within a teacher training program. Using a mixed-methods approach (quantitative pre-/post-tests and qualitative focus groups/interviews), the study assessed changes in student methodology, motivation, satisfaction, and learning. Results showed significant improvements in all four areas, with larger effects observed in methodology and motivation. Women reported higher motivation and satisfaction than men. While limitations existed, the DUs significantly enhanced students' perception of the learning objectives.
