Abstract
Small RNAs (miRNAs or siRNAs) are effective tools for cancer therapy, but existing carriers have limitations. Plant-derived vesicles (PDVs) offer promise as RNA carriers, but issues like insufficient loading and scalability remain. This study developed a hybrid exosomal polymeric system (HEXPO) using watermelon PDVs and a dendrimer bound to miRNA146 mimic. In vivo experiments demonstrated therapeutic efficacy and revealed miR146a's anti-angiogenic activity.
