Abstract
This pilot study investigated the effectiveness of a daily 14-h metabolic fast (14:10 TRE) combined with a commercial weight management program on body weight and fasting blood glucose (FBG) in individuals with obesity. 78 participants were randomized to 14:10 TRE or 12-h TRE (control). The 14:10 group showed a statistically significant weight loss (-8.5%) and improvement in FBG (-7.6 mg/dl) compared to the control group (-7.1% weight loss, non-significant FBG change). Both interventions showed greater FBG reduction in participants with elevated baseline FBG.
