Abstract
This study utilized time-resolved serial femtosecond crystallography (TR-SFX) to investigate the structural dynamics of a metal-organic framework (MOF) composed of Fe porphyrins and hexazirconium nodes. The TR-SFX data revealed three distinct structural pathways: coherent oscillatory movements of Zr and Fe atoms, a transient structure with doming and disordering movements, and a vibrationally hot structure with isotropic disorder. This demonstrates the feasibility of TR-SFX for studying chemical systems.
