This paper investigates the impact of a personalized serious game designed to enhance information literacy skills, focusing on introverted and extraverted individuals. A comparative experiment with a control group (non-personalized game) and an experimental group (personalized game) was conducted. Results show that while personalization enhanced intrinsic motivation (perceived competence and effort), it didn't significantly impact knowledge acquisition or retention. Introverted participants showed a 37% increase in engagement (playtime), while the personalized approach was less effective for extraverted participants.
