Abstract

This study investigates the impact of "decent work" dimensions on faculty members' Innovative Work Behavior (IWB) in higher education institutes, exploring the mediating roles of work engagement and job self-efficacy. Using SEM with data from 224 faculty members, results show that "decent work" predicts IWB only through the full mediation of work engagement. Decent work significantly impacts job self-efficacy and work engagement, with job self-efficacy mediating the relationship between decent work and work engagement. Findings suggest strategies to promote decent work to enhance faculty IWB.
