Computational memory capacity predicts aging and cognitive decline

M. Mijalkov, L. Storm, et al.

Using reservoir computing on anatomical brain networks from a lifespan cohort of 636 people, this study shows that a neural-network-derived "computational memory capacity" robustly marks aging and links to resting-state activity, white-matter integrity, locus coeruleus signal intensity and cognition, with replication in an independent cohort.
