Charge density waves in cuprate superconductors beyond the critical doping

H. Miao, G. Fabbris, et al.

This groundbreaking research reveals that charge density wave (CDW) correlations in La2−xSrxCuO4 persist to a doping level of at least x = 0.21, surpassing the previously believed threshold of xc ≈ 0.19. The findings challenge the common understanding of CDWs and their interactions with superconductivity, providing new insights into the high-temperature cuprate phase diagram. The study was conducted by H. Miao, G. Fabbris, R. J. Koch, D. G. Mazzone, C. S. Nelson, R. Acevedo-Esteves, G. D. Gu, Y. Li, T. Yılmaz, K. Kaznatcheev, E. Vescovo, M. Oda, T. Kurosawa, N. Momono, T.
