This qualitative study assessed feelings of certainty and uncertainty among dental students and teaching staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using qualitative interviews, the study found that clear communication, availability of presentations, and teaching staff support enhanced feelings of certainty. Conversely, uncertainty stemmed from handling the challenging situation, unclear information policies, missed student contact, lack of feedback, and concerns about COVID-19 infection. The study concludes that clear communication, online teaching training, and established feedback channels are crucial for navigating uncertain times in dental education.
