A significant percentage of COVID-19 survivors experience long-term cardiovascular issues linked to autonomic nervous system dysfunction. This review examines the cardiovascular and autonomic consequences of long-COVID, focusing on the potential of cardiovascular rehabilitation programs (CRPs) as a non-invasive therapeutic strategy. CRPs, known for improving cardiorespiratory fitness and stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, offer promise in managing long-COVID's cardiovascular sequelae. The paper explores the pathophysiology of long-COVID, diagnostic approaches for dysautonomia, and the clinical management of associated cardiovascular dysfunction, including considerations for pediatric populations.
