This study investigates the impact of big data analytics capabilities on social innovation within organizations, exploring the mediating role of knowledge exploration and exploitation. Using data from 354 high-tech companies in China, the study finds that big data analytics management, technology, and personnel capabilities positively affect social innovation. Knowledge exploration and exploitation mediate this relationship. Furthermore, a polynomial regression analysis reveals that social innovation is maximized when knowledge exploration and exploitation are highly consistent, but decreases with inconsistency.
