Abstract
This study investigates the integration of metaverse technologies in China's tourism and education sectors, focusing on lifelong learning. Using semantic network and sentiment analysis of Weibo discussions, the research explores public perceptions and the educational potential of the metaverse. Findings reveal a balanced mix of enthusiasm for immersive learning and concerns regarding privacy, addiction, and ethics. The study emphasizes the metaverse's potential as an immersive learning environment, particularly for tourism education, but stresses the need for policies ensuring equal access and ethical use.
