Abstract
This open-label, pragmatic clinical trial randomized pregnant and postpartum women in Nigeria to usual care or AI-guided screening for left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD). The AI-guided screening used digital stethoscope recordings and 12-lead electrocardiograms with AI predictions for LVSD. AI-enabled digital stethoscope screening improved LVSD diagnosis compared to usual care, while the 12-lead AI-ECG showed a similar but not statistically significant trend. No serious adverse events were reported.
