Abstract
Food systems contribute significantly to climate change, yet public awareness remains low. This study analyzes Australian newspaper coverage (2011-2021) to assess the extent of reporting on food systems' impact on climate change. Results show limited coverage (5% of articles), primarily focusing on food production (especially livestock) and less on consumption. Increased media attention is recommended to raise public awareness and encourage policy action.
