Abstract
This intervention trial investigated the effects of vigorous arm exercise on oxidative stress and antioxidant levels in individuals with chronic spinal cord injury (SCI) compared to healthy controls. SCI participants exhibited lower baseline levels of creatinine, α-carotene, and β-carotene. However, both groups showed similar responses in oxidative stress and antioxidant biomarkers during and after exercise. SCI participants maintained lower levels of exogenous antioxidants throughout the study.
