Abstract
Regular practice of gratitude has the potential to enhance psychological wellbeing and foster stronger social connections among young adults. This research employed a user-centered design (UCD) approach to develop a mobile application facilitating gratitude practice. A formative study (20 participants) using existing applications informed the design of a custom application, which was then deployed in a subsequent study (26 participants). Findings highlight the positive impact of structured options to guide gratitude practice and the advantages of passive engagement, contributing key design considerations for gratitude-promoting applications.
