This study assessed factors influencing voluntary blood donation among university students in South India. A descriptive cross-sectional study of 354 students used convenience sampling. Results showed that 38.98% had donated blood. Significant associations with blood donation included gender, NGO membership, volunteer activity frequency, fear of needles, and belief in disease acquisition during donation. While knowledge was generally good, attitude and practice were inconsistent. NGO involvement and voluntary activities positively influenced donation.
