This rapid realist review investigates universal school-based interventions promoting inclusivity and acceptance of diverse sexual and gender identities. The review identified five intervention themes: student pride clubs, inclusive anti-bullying policies, inclusive curricula, workshops, and staff training. These interventions may work by reducing discrimination and bullying, but effectiveness varies depending on school climate and may be less effective for boys, gender minorities, and bisexual students. The findings offer guiding principles for schools and encourage further research to refine the programme theories.
