Opportunity Overview

๐Ÿ“– About the Fellowship

TILT is offering four Writing-Enriched Curriculum (WEC) faculty fellowships for the 2025-2026 school year to support faculty in meaningfully integrating writing as a tool for student learning and engagement.

This fellowship program encourages faculty to:

  • Design innovative writing-focused methodologies.
  • Develop a plan to assess the impact of these instructional strategies.
  • Share valuable insights on writing as a tool for learning and engagement with the broader CSU community.

Objectives of WEC Projects:

  • Contribute to studentsโ€™ deepened learning and success objectives (e.g., retention, persistence, transfer of knowledge).
  • Align with specific course objectives and learning outcomes.
  • Include an assessment plan, timeline, and narrative that clearly states the projectโ€™s relevance to student learning.
  • Connect the projectโ€™s objectives to the land grant mission of access or other University priorities.

WEC Fellows will engage in curriculum design or redesign with an emphasis on student learning outcomes that can be assessed. Projects may focus on:

  • One major writing assignment.
  • 3-4 smaller writing assignments.
  • A collection of writing activities within one specific course.

๐ŸŽ Benefits

WEC Fellows will receive the following:

  • Stipend: $1,500 for the course instructor.
  • Mentorship: 20 hours of one-on-one mentorship and consultation with a TILT WEC Lead (Kelly Bradbury, Genesea Carter, Leslie Davis, or Annie Halseth).
  • Collaborative Planning: Biweekly meetings in the fall semester with their WEC Lead to plan, implement, and assess their projects. (Spring semester meetings will be determined later.)
