đ About McCall MacBain Scholarships
The McCall MacBain Scholarships are more than just financial support. They aim to build a community of scholars who aspire to lead with purpose and make a positive impact in the world. Scholars are selected based on their leadership potential, commitment to service, and academic excellence.
This program provides scholars with:
- Leadership Development: Scholars participate in seminars, workshops, and retreats to enhance their leadership skills.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Each scholar is paired with a mentor, executive coach, and advisors to help them achieve their goals.
- Community Hub: Scholars have access to the McCall MacBain House, a space for collaboration, learning, and well-being.
đŻ Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the 2026 cohort, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be a current student on track to earn your first bachelorâs degree by August 2026.
- Have earned your first bachelorâs degree in the last five years (January 2020 or later).
- Have earned your first bachelorâs degree more than five years ago and be 30 years or younger as of January 1, 2025.
Additionally, you must meet the minimum degree and language requirements for McGill masterâs program admission.

đ Eligible Degrees
You can apply for the McCall MacBain Scholarship if you plan to enroll in Summer/Fall 2026 for a full-time masterâs or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University. The program must consist of 45 credits or more and take place primarily on McGillâs downtown or Macdonald campuses.
1. Masterâs Degrees
More than 150 fields of study are eligible, including:
- MA (Arts), MArch (Architecture), MBA (Business Administration), MEd (Education), MEng (Engineering), MISt (Information Studies), MM (Management Analytics, Finance, Retail), MMus (Music), MPP (Public Policy), MSc (Science), MSW (Social Work), LLM (Law), and more.
2. Second-Entry Professional Undergraduate Degrees
Eligible programs include:
- BCL/JD (Law), DMD (Dentistry), MDCM (Medicine).
đ° Benefits of McCall MacBain Scholarships
The scholarship covers:
- Tuition and fees for the full duration of the program.
- A living stipend of $2,300 per month during academic terms.
- A one-time relocation grant for moving to Montréal.
- French language courses (beginner to advanced) offered through McGill.
Additional Benefits:
- Scholars not pursuing an academic term during the summer may apply for up to $5,000 to pursue meaningful summer initiatives.
- Up to 30 McCall MacBain Scholarships and 100 finalist and regional awards will be offered.
Awards Breakdown:
For Canadian Applicants:
- 20 McCall MacBain Scholarships
- 30 Finalist Awards of $10,000
- 30 Regional Awards of $5,000 (tenable at any public university in Canada)
For International Applicants:
- 10 McCall MacBain Scholarships
- 25 Finalist Awards of $20,000
- 15 Regional Awards of $10,000 (tenable at any public university in Canada)
