π About the Program
The SOKENDAI KEK Tsukuba/J-PARC Summer Student Program 2026 offers students the opportunity to participate in a research program under the guidance of experienced faculty members at KEK campuses.
KEK is one of the leading research laboratories in Japan, with campuses located in Tsukuba and Tokai. The institution conducts advanced research in:
- Elementary particles
- Nuclear physics
- Materials science
- Life sciences
- Accelerator science
During this international summer program, students will join various research groups either at the Tsukuba campus or at J-PARC.

β Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the SOKENDAI KEK Tsukuba/J-PARC Summer Student Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Open to both international and Japanese students.
- Applicants must be undergraduate or masterβs degree students.
- Students should have relevant academic field knowledge.
- IELTS is not required for this summer research program.
- No application fee is required to apply.
