✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of five years' journalistic experience is required. In rare cases, equivalent expertise may be considered. Freelancers are welcome to apply, but applications from individuals in public affairs, public relations, or corporate communications are not accepted.
• Global Opportunity: Open to journalists from all over the world, including Europe, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, North America, and Latin America.
• Commitment to Journalism: Applicants must plan to return to journalism after completing the fellowship.
• English Proficiency: While there is no formal language test, applicants must be able to understand and participate in discussions in English. For more details, refer to the university's English language requirements.

📝 Application Process

Applicants need to prepare and submit the following documents:

1. Project Statement:

   • A one-page document outlining the idea you plan to work on during the fellowship.
   • Include details about what you will read, who you will talk to, and your overall plan.
   • Save as a PDF.

2. Project Summary:

   • A 150-word summary of your proposed project idea.

3. Motivation Statement:

   • A one-page document explaining why you are ready for the fellowship, why you want to pursue this project at the Reuters Institute, and how you plan to use the project after returning to your newsroom.
   • Save as a PDF.

4. Curriculum Vitae (CV):

   • A two-page CV detailing your career and education history.
   • You may include links to your work.
   • Save as a PDF.

5. Letters of Reference:

   • Two one-page letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with your work.
   • Each letter should include the referee’s full name, job title, relationship to you, and contact details.
   • Save as PDFs.

• The size limit for each PDF document is 25 MB.
