The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) provides the International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP) to attract global talents and showcase Taiwan’s strengths in the field of Science and Technology (S&T).
This program aims to:
- Offer international students an opportunity to experience Taiwan’s advancements in S&T.
- Encourage interns to pursue advanced studies or start a career in Taiwan.
- Enrich human resources in key scientific research fields in Taiwan.

- No age restrictions to apply for the internship.
- A paid internship opportunity for students.
- Subsidy: Interns will receive NT$1,000 per day for a maximum duration of three months.

📋 Eligibility Criteria
- Open to students from all around the world.
- Available to bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students of foreign nationality studying in foreign colleges or universities.
- Not eligible: Foreign nationals from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
- Applicants must focus on key research and development areas in Taiwan, including humanities and social sciences.
- International students who have completed exchange programs in Taiwan and have not yet returned to their home countries can also apply.
- Language proficiency: Applicants must be proficient in English, Mandarin, or Taiwanese.
- Language proficiency levels must be indicated during application.
- Relevant proof documents must be uploaded.
