EPFL offers a limited number of Excellence Fellowships to reward outstanding students starting their Master’s studies. These fellowships are designed for candidates who have achieved remarkable academic results and distinguish themselves in extracurricular activities, such as:

• Sporting
• Artistic
• Civic
• Entrepreneurial

🎁 Benefits of EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships

Selected fellows will enjoy the following benefits:

• CHF 10,000 per semester for up to 4 semesters of the degree program.
• Free room reservation (for external candidates only).
• Opportunities for international networking and job placements.
• A certificate of excellence upon completion of the Master’s program.
• A chance to gain international learning experience.
• An opportunity to explore Europe and its culture.
• Fellows are responsible for covering other expenses, such as tuition fees, rent, etc.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Open to candidates of any nationality from any part of the world.
• Must have a strong academic record.
• Applicants must declare any other scholarships they are receiving during their Master’s studies.
• Must be enrolling in a Master’s program for the first time (not for a second Master’s degree).
• Should demonstrate excellence in extracurricular activities, such as sporting, civic, artistic, entrepreneurial, or other areas.

📅 Application Date and Process

Application Process:

• The application process is online.
• External applicants (those with a Bachelor’s degree from abroad):
  • Apply for the fellowship on the same Master’s application form by selecting the box indicating interest in the scholarship.
  • No additional documents are required beyond those needed for the Master’s application.
• Internal applicants (students with a Bachelor’s degree from EPFL):
  • Apply through the designated section for internal applicants.
  • Supporting documents are required.
