📖 About NIAS-KNAW KB Fellowship
The KB Fellowship at NIAS provides researchers the opportunity to work on topics related to:
- The future-oriented functionality of the public library.
- The sustainability of the library as a public institution and a pillar of liberal democracy.

- Fellows receive a personal stipend.
- Scholars affiliated with a Dutch university or research institute receive a Dutch University Grant, which is given to their institution.
✅ NIAS-KNAW KB Fellowship Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Scholarly Researchers:
- At least 3 years of research experience after obtaining their PhD (as of the closing date of the call).
- Open to researchers with or without institutional affiliation.

Creative Practitioners:
- At least 3 years of independent art practice since formal graduation or equivalent.
- Artists are welcome to use artistic production as a research strategy or for pre-production research.
- Note: NIAS does not provide ateliers, materials, or tools for artistic production.

Language Requirement:
- The working language at NIAS is English.
- Applicants must have a good command of English to contribute effectively to the fellows group and receive input on their research.
