β Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the award, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The award recognizes outstanding mathematical work (pure, applied, probability, statistics) by scientists working and living in Africa or the Arab region.
- Eligible candidates must be nationals of an African or Arab country and have been living and working there for a minimum of two years immediately prior to their nomination.
- TWAS Fellows are not eligible.
- Individuals who have previously won a TWAS-named Award are not eligible to be nominated for awards named after a different TWAS Fellow.
- Self-nominations and nominations from jury members will not be considered.
