✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the AAAS L’Oréal USA For Women in Science Award 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Hold a PhD and be in a postdoctoral research position by January 31, 2026.
Remain a postdoctoral researcher throughout the fellowship year (cannot hold a faculty position).
Be a U.S. citizen, naturalized citizen, or permanent resident.
Be affiliated with a U.S.-based academic or research institution.
Conduct research in basic sciences, including:
- Life sciences
- Physical/material sciences
- Engineering & technology
- Computer science
- Mathematics
Commit to 20+ hours of outreach supporting women and girls in science (e.g., mentoring, classroom visits, events).
Be available during the awards week in November 2026.
